On Saturday, July 19th, we invite you to take a step out of the ordinary and into something sacred — a shared journey of prayer, conversation, and discovery.
We’re going on pilgrimage!
A pilgrimage is not just a walk. It’s a chance to slow down, to notice God in the world around us, and to share stories along the way. Whether you’re exploring your faith, seeking a moment of peace, or simply up for an adventure with a purpose, this day is for you.
We’ll be staying local travelling together from St Georges Tredegar to each church in the ministry area finishing at St Sannan’s, Bedwellty, with moments of prayer and reflection woven throughout the route focusing on each patron saint of the churches. Along the way, there will be chances to pause, pray, and enjoy the company of fellow pilgrims from across the Ministry Area. It’s about the path, not just the destination — though there will be plenty of fun and food.
If you’re unable to join the walk itself, there will be plenty of ways to take part — including online content and a printed booklet to follow along on the day. You are also very welcome to drive between churches or simply join us at any point along the way.
We especially encourage everyone to come to the final meal and Eucharist, whether or not you’ve taken part in the walk. All are welcome.
